Planet Radio’s Mission Christmas encourages people to donate what they can to make sure children in poverty have presents on Christmas day. The scheme, launched by Cash for Kids, is looking to make a difference to local children in cities like Manchester and London, where an alarming rate of them are living in poverty – 1 in 3 in Manchester, to be specific.

Homeclean’s teams in London and Manchester wore Christmas jumpers to work last week to fundraise for Mission Christmas.

The domestic cleaning franchise, that provides professional and reliable cleaners to thousands of happy clients, helped out the good cause. Staff members bought at least one present each to donate to children who otherwise wouldn’t wake up with any presents on Christmas morning.

To fulfil these children’s Christmas wishes, staff members turned up to the Hits Radio warehouse to donate the presents, unfortunately without reindeer and sleigh as their chosen form of transport (but delivering the Christmas spirit nonetheless).
